Dr. Han Liyun

Liyun Han works as the International Policy Executive at Department of International Affairs in CNNIC, where she has been doing research into the projects relevant to the Internet governance, including the fields of ICANN globalization, critical resources, the Multi-stakeholder model, capacity building, international cooperation and cyber security. She has composed some proposals of the thematic workshops and organized the workshops in IG related events, including WSIS, IGF, APrIGF and WIC (Wuzhen Summit). Meanwhile, she is in charge of the research subjects related to the frontier IG issues in the Institute of Internet Governance Research (IGR), and she also collaborate with Institute for Internet Policy & Law (IIPL) of Beijing Normal University as a research fellow.

Dr. Han earned her Master Degree and Ph.D. Degree in Politics from Beijing Normal University. In her Ph.D., Liyun’s focus is on the global governance and the global public policy, and she began researching the European integration as well as the interrelationship between the regional governance and the global governance while she was a visiting scholar in the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University in Denmark. During 2009, she was a trainee journalist in China’s Science and Technology Daily.
