Zakir is a technology strategy and research professional having in depth knowledge of emerging technologies and innovation, policy & regulation and latest trends in the role of ICTs in different sectors. With over 8 years of experience in the ICTs, professional services, research, public policy and training industry at different levels, he has been working with a number of organizations. At present, Zakir is associated with different organizations both in the for-profit as well as not-for-profit and working towards achieving the macro organizational goals.

With in-depth practical knowledge of inter-disciplinary development issues, particularly on digital inclusion, internet governance, education, social exclusion/inclusion including children, youth, women and development, he has excellent research & analysis skill coupled with strong advocacy and networking aptitude. Zakir has contributed to a number of high-level studies on international level with different organizations including the SAMENA Council, ITU/UN, ICANN, ISOC, IGF, World Bank, and a number of other governmental as well as not governmental organizations.

Zakir is also a trainer, editor, technology journalist, writer and recently chosen to work with the government, trade unions and commerce chambers for industries & skill development as well as trainings. Having good practical knowledge of the development policies, monitoring and evaluation, preparing evidence-based policy reports and papers; he has authored several articles on policy, development & ICT issues. Additionally, Zakirorganizes and advise on workshops, conferences and symposia programs, covering topics of interest to policy-makers, regulators and industry.
