Aarti Bhavana works as a Research Fellow with the Centre for Communication Governance (CCG) in New Delhi, India. Coming from a legal background, her interests mainly lie in human rights. Having been involved in the ICANN world for over a year now, she is fascinated by the extent to which Global Internet Governance institutions have an effect on the rights of individuals. In furtherance of this, she has been working on WHOIS issues, and is a member of the next-gen RDS PDP Working Group. Her other areas of interest lie in accountability and transparency, for which she has been closely tracking the ongoing IANA transition process and related community recommendations.
