Dr. Hyangsun Lee is a Senior Research Fellow of the Korea Communications Standards Commission. She worked as an Associate Editor for the Federal Communications Law Journal and a Senior Researcher of the Korea University Research Institute for Information and Culture. Dr. Lee graduated from Korea University with a B.A. in English Literature. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Mass Communications, minoring in Law, at Indiana University. Her research interests are in media law and policy in comparative and transnational contexts. Her current work mainly focuses on content regulation in broadcasting and on the Internet, including developing workable co-regulatory methods and horizontal regulatory systems in the convergent and smart media environment.
