Hong Xue

Dr. Hong Xue is a Professor and the Director of the Institute for Internet Policy and Law at Beijing Normal University (BNU). She specializes in intellectual property law, information technology and Internet governance. She is a Guest Professor at the Torino Law School-WIPO Master of Laws in Intellectual Property. She serves as the Microsoft Fellow of the Yale Information Society. Dr. Xue is the Chinese Leader for the Global Academy on Access to Knowledge.

Hong Xue is the only Asian scholar in the Association for Promotion of the Advanced Teaching and Research of Intellectual Property (ATRIP) and she is the on the Editorial board of World Intellectual Property Journal and on the Expert Advisory Board of the DiploFoundation. She is in the United Nations Network of Experts for Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific (UNNExT). Prof. Xue is an arbitrator at CIETAC, UDRP neutral at WIPO and ADNDRC and founder of CNDRP.

Prof. Xue initiated the Asia-Pacific Internet Leadership Project (APILP) and is the Faculty Chair.
