Digital Crimes Unit
Celeste Yang is Corporate Attorney for Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit (DCU), Taiwan. She oversees cases relating to malicious software crimes, cybercrimes, IT supply chain compliance and intellectual property law. She also establishes initiatives to facilitate cyber-threat intelligence collaboration, trusted cloud, and cybercrime & cybersecurity outreach.
Prior to joining Microsoft in 2014, she was an Assistant Professor in National Tsing Hua University, Institute of Law for Science and Technology, teaching intellectual property laws. She also practiced as the Managing Attorney in Mertz, Bitelman & Associates P.C. in New York City, where her main practice concentrated on cyber fraud/misrepresentation cases. She earned her LL.M and J.S.D degrees from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2006 and 2009 respectively.
