Yasuyo Inoue is a Professor of Library Sciences/School Librarianship in the Faculty of Economics and Business management, Dokkyo University, Japan.
She has been a member of the IFLA Committee on Freedom of Access to Information and Freedom of Expression (FAIFE) for a number of years, and has contributed presentations on Intellectual Freedom to conferences, seminars and webinars of the Japan Library Association, the American Library Association and IFLA (the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions).
She has contributed articles on intellectual freedom around the world to the ‘IFLA Journal’. She is a member of the Committee on Intellectual Freedom of the Japan Library Association, and in that capacity has published extensively in Japan. She is Secretary of the Section on Library Theory and Research of IFLA.
